Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Gallery

Srinivasa Ramanujan, (1887-1920), is a famous Indian mathematician whose contributions to the theory of numbers include pioneering discoveries of the properties of the partition function. Ramanujan's knowledge of mathematics was enormous. His mastery of continued fractions was unequaled by any living mathematician. He worked out the Riemann series, the elliptic integrals, hypergeometric series, the functional equations of the zeta function, and his own theory of divergent series. In honour of the grat mathematician, with the support of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Ramanujan Math Gallery is being established at the Periyar Science and Technology Centre in an area of 3000 Sq.fts. A Mobile Bus on "Math on Wheels" with 24 built-in Math exhibits has also been developed.
